Individuals in Surrey will now have easier access to immunizations, dental care and sexual health services with the launch of the Fraser Health Mobile Health Clinic powered by TELUS.
Already active in Vancouver, Victoria, and across Canada, this program helps to remove many of the barriers that marginalized Canadians face in receiving medical care.
We are so proud to partner with Fraser Health & TELUS on this exciting initiative!
Thank you to all who joined us at the 2020 Celebration of Care Gala! Together, we celebrated with Hollywood-style glam and raised over $1.3 million in support of surgery at Surrey Memorial Hospital! What an amazing evening. See you next year!
The wonderful Bath family of SSR Cedar has collected and donated toys again this holiday season for the children staying in the Children’s Health Centre and Ronald McDonald house over Christmas. Thank you so much to the generous Bath family, and the SSR Cedar customers and vendors who supported this toy drive!

On December 11th, 2019, Dr. Peter Chung and his family made an announcement that they were donating $1 million to the Children’s Health Centre renewal campaign. This thoughtful, generous donation was made in memory of their late son, Joseph. Please watch this touching video to learn more about their inspiration for this gift.
Dr. Victoria Lee, President & CEO of Fraser Health, joined us for this event, as did a brave 13 year old oncology patient who is receiving treatment at Surrey Memorial. Grace Drummond, with her mother Laura, shared how important it is to have care close to home.
With this gift, which is one of three $1 million donations to this campaign, Surrey Hospital Foundation has just $1 million away from our $6 million commitment for this project.
Surrey Hospital Foundation is raising $6 million to transform the Children’s Health Centre by creating a larger, family-friendly space with more clinics for outpatients and a dedicated area for kids who need day care procedures. The changes will also mean that more patient rooms will be available for children who need overnight stays.
The 13th annual 93.1 RED FM Gurpurab Radiothon is set for Tuesday, November 12th, 2019
100 per cent of every donation goes directly to Surrey Hospital Foundation, as RED FM generously supports this event and donates the airtime.
Now in its 13th year, the RED FM Gurpurab Radiothon is one of the most successful in Canada.
The RED FM radiothons began in Surrey in 2007 at 93.1 RED FM, and added annual radiothons at 106.7 RED FM in Calgary in 2014.
The goal for this year’s Radiothon is to renovate and upgrade equipment in the Mata Tripta Family Birthing Unit at Surrey Memorial Hospital.
The goal is to raise $550,000 to update the family birthing unit, named by the community after a successful Gurpurab Radiothon in 2012.
On the occasion of the 550th anniversary of Guru Nanak’s birth, SHF is pleased that the community is honouring Mata Tripta by supporting an upgrade to this busy unit.
Equipment purchases will include 2 infant resuscitation warmers with required accessories; 3 Bili Meters with photo therapy lights and blankets to treat and cure jaundice; 10 specialty devices to help women during labour; milk warmers, breast pumps and a variety of other pieces of equipment that will ensure each room is fully outfitted for delivery.
It will also provide a refresh of the unit, including sleeper chairs so both parents and baby can stay together to create the important initial family bond.
